facebooktwitterreddit

We had an actual game yesterday, the Texas Rangers played an intra-squad game to prepare for the first spring training game on Sunday. We didn’t get a tremendous amount of info on the game but the beat reporters all had the highlights posted. Chad Tracy was the superstar of the game with 2 RBIs and one of them being a solo HR against Yoshinori Tateyama. Another player who is trying to make the rotation, Tanner Scheppers pitched one inning allowing a run and 2 hits, but he was able to get out of the inning with minimal damage.

Other Notes:

The boys will be getting their 2010 American League Champion rings on Saturday April 2nd before the game.

Washington chose to try Ian Kinsler as a leadoff hitter on the away team during the exhibition game, he also said that a true picture of his lineup will come Sunday in the teams first spring training game. Richard Durrett of ESPN Dallas has an interesting look at who should lead off for the Rangers in 2011.

Dave Cameron over at Fan Graph explores the bullpen if Feliz starts.

We have another intra-squad game on the schedule today and then Sunday is the big day.

Happy Friday!
