Sorry guys for this being so late and my apologies in advance for it being short. The Rangers won last night 13-4 and will look to achieve success again tonight as they “fire” up their bats against the Baltimore Orioles for the second game of a three-game set at the Ballpark in Arlington. Here’s a look your starting pitchers for tonight’s game…

LHP Matt Harrison starts for the Rangers and has won all three of his previous starts against the Baltimore Orioles but not just on his pitching but because of the strong offensive support from his team. Harrison is 6-7 for the year with a 3.30 ERA. In his three starts against the Orioles, 34 runs have been scored by the offense. Last time out was a loss for Harrison after allowing five runs on seven hits in six innings against the Astros but his previous start was a win allowing just a single run on seven hits over seven innings against the New York Mets.

The Orioles will counter with Mitch Atkins, who will be getting his first start for his career tonight. He has pitched in seven games of relief and has a 5.25 ERA with the Chicago Cubs over the prior two seasons. During his time at A Frederick, AA Bowie and AAA Norfolk this season, he went 3-6 combined with a 3.16 ERA over 14 total starts. He likely won’t make it to six innings tonight and I’m afraid the Rangers hot bats may just tear the youngster up.
