For the Jackie Robinson Day start the Rangers will have Neftali Felizon the hill. His first start of the year was much better than most of the expectations. The start was a 7 inning gem with 0 runs, 4 hits 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. His start was the best of the initial runs by any of the Rangers starters. Hopefully Feliz can continue on the path he started in his first appearance and look good in his transition to the starting rotation. He will be leading the Texas Rangers on the quest for the series sweep. The Rangers are 7-2 this season, and this is game 10.

In a 105p start the Round Rock Express look to expand upon their victory last night over the Iowa Cubs. The Express have tapped RHP Mark Hamburger to be the starting pitcher. Hamburger was rock in his first outing in which he surrendered 7 earned runs on 6 hits and 5 walks in a mere 3 innings on April 10th against the Omaha Storm Chasers. He will need a good outing today to lower his 11.25 ERA and improve upon the Express’ 3-7 record. This will be game 11 for Round Rock.

At AA Frisco the ‘Riders are starting a new series against the Arkansas Travelers.  LHP Tim Murphy is going for his second start of the season; his last outing was also against the Travelers on April 9th. In that game he was the losing pitcher after going 3.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits with a walk. Yesterday’s victory improved the ‘Riders to 6-3 on the year. This will be game 10 for Frisco.

After a disappointing loss yesterday Advances A Myrtle Beach will go for the factory in the rubber match against the Salem Red Sox. Kyle Hendricks, RHP, is going to the mound for his second start of the year.  His first appearance against the Potomac Nationals could have been better. In 3.2 innings pitched he gave up 5 runs on 5 hits with 3 walks and 2 strikeouts.  The Pelicans are now 4-4 on the year and today is game 9 for them.

For the first time in the young season the Hickory Crawdads have lost in back to back games. After two hard outings for the ‘Dads starters they will see if LHP Will Lamb can help right the ship. In his outstanding first start of the year he went 4 innings with no runs and 3 hits. Hickory is 6-4 for the year, and this is game 11 for the young club.

Good luck everybody. Happy Jackie Robinson Day.

Go Rangers!
