Dominican Winter League Update (Dec 17)
Several of the Texas Rangers players are playing in the Dominican Winter League. The DWL league is the equivalent to a AAA league, maybe a little higher since there are several major league players. Here is a brief update on how some are doing.

Beltre has played in 22 games so far in the DWL league and has a batting average of .280/.304/.320/.624 with 3 doubles and 6 stolen bases. He went 1 for 4 last night. Beltre had been struggling some, but recently has found the ball. In several for the past games he went 2 for 4.
Ron Washington has said the Leonys Martin will be the lead off man in 2014. So far, Martin hasn’t had much time in the number 1 hole in the DWL. Recently he’s been batting 7th for Licey. Leonys Martin did manage to get his first DWL home run on December 12th. Martin did start off the season with a bit of a struggle only batting a 0.089. He is now up to a .190/.292/.286/.577 with 1 home run and 4 stolen bases over 11 games.
Feliz didn’t allow a run in the few games he pitched for the Texas Rangers and managed to do the same for the Toros until 6th game playing in the DWL. Feliz is one of the 3 closers that the Texas Rangers could use next season. He has an ERA of 3.52 over 8 games and 7.2 innings. He’s recorded 8 strikeouts and allowed 2 walks during that time. Although he pitched in several games, Feliz didn’t pitch in any save situations.
