The Texas Rangers Class A affiliate Myrtle Beach Pelicans want Russell Wilson to play one game, for charity.
Shortly after the Super Bowl, the launched a social media campaign using Twitter and YouTube to lure him to the club for one game and in return they will make a donation to the charity of his choice for $20,000.

It is possible that Wilson will take them up on their offer. His agent recently said that he does still intend on attending spring training for the Texas Rangers. Although, he will not be participating in the spring training activities. Russell Wilson will mainly be there to mentor the rookies and other young players.
The Pelicans have received plenty of coverage of their efforts to lure Wilson from Twitter, YouTube and also from several other media outlets that have picked up the story. Which is good for the Pelicans. They have been hoping that their social media campaign would make it tough for Wilson to turn down the opportunity.
“He’s an incredible young man and the impact he could have on our staff members, our players, our coaches and the kids in this community would be dramatic,” Pelicans General Manager Andy Milovich adds. “So we’re going to continue to make an effort and get him here, and hopefully it works out.” (Mandy Noell – CBS 5)
There hasn’t been a response from Russell Wilson or his agent, but there is a chance that he will do it. But it also depends on how busy Wilson is after his Super Bowl victory.
