Last year the Texas Rangers hit a total of 176 home runs.   Adrian Beltre lead the club with 30 home runs, followed by Nelson Cruz who hit 27.  Here are a few that I’ve picked out as the top 5 of 2013.  This should be a nice way to get ready for spring training.

Shortest Home run

Ian Kinsler, on August 23 against the Chicago White Sox, managed to get an inside the park home run, a ball that was measured at 197 ft.  The ball looped right over third base and rolled towards the left field line and got caught up under the padding against the wall.  Robin Ventura tried to argue the call, but the ball was in play the whole time and was never actually stuck in the padding.  It appeared Dayan Viciedo had a the ball at one point and should have held Ian Kinsler to a double, but Kinsler kept on running all the way home to give the Texas Rangers a 5-3 lead in the top of the third.
