The Texas Rangers continue their spring training by taking on the Kansas City Royals. This time the Rangers will host the Royals, to what will hopefully be a cleaner game than yesterday. Between both team, they racked up 9 errors (5 Rangers, 4 Royals). The Rangers got 2 innings/29 pitches and 4 strike outs from of Yu Darvish. Bruce Chen wasn’t as sharp, but Danny Duffy brought some heat for the Rangers. You usually don’t see a pitcher going all out during the first game. He also recorded 4 strike outs.
But the Texas Rangers jumped out to an early lead for Yu Darvish, which seemed rare at times last season and beat the Royals 11-7.
Today the Texas Rangers send Alexi Ogando to the mound versus James Shields
