Now, if any of you have read comments I’ve made during our live Spring Training game threads or on my Twitter or on The Ranger Report Podcast I had the chance to be on, then you know how I feel about Michael Choice becoming a permanent fixture with the Texas Rangers. For those of you who might have missed my feelings on Michael Choice please allow me to let you in on this not-so-secret secret: I. LOVE. THE. IDEA. The Texas Rangers acquired him in the Craig Gentry trade with the Oakland Athletics and I’m sure like most Rangers fans y’all were, rightfully so, HIGHLY upset, to say the least. However, I think many of you are starting to come around to the idea that Choice was a pretty darn good choice. (No pun intended) Michael Choice has also played in all 13 games this Spring Training. Choice is batting .296/.321/.519 with 8 hits, 6 runs (1 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR) and 3 RBI. Michael Choice is only 24-years old and hails from the best little town in Texas, Arlington! Which, to me, only means that with him being young he is eager to learn, grow and improve and playing at home, literally, will only make him more comfortable and happy which pours over into the clubhouse, which in turn makes everyone happier which then translates to winning.
