Phoenix, Ariz – Elvis Andrus will not be in the lineup with the Texas Rangers as they take on the Milwaukee Brewers. Elvis joins the long list of players who have or are currently injured. Buster Olney joked about the mounting injuries in the AL West yesterday.
Seems like 30 percent of the starting pitchers in the AL West are out before the first pitch of the season has been thrown.

Buster was talking about pitching, but he could have made the same joke about the position players. The Texas Rangers are reporting that he is out strictly as a precaution due to recurring soreness in his right elbow. That soreness, if not careful, could turn to shoulder soreness or injury.
After the game Ron Washington commented on what he saw from watching Elvis Andrus play.
"“I haven’t seen the zip on it,” Washington said. “I thought we were past it, but it flared up on him again (Monday) night.” (Dallas News – Evan Grant)"
Elvis Andrus will also get to rest during tomorrow’s off day. At this time, there shouldn’t be any reason to be alarmed. Even though he was scratched from today’s game, he said he was game ready.
"“He told me last night he’d be ready to play today,” Wash said. (Via Twitter- Jeff Wilson)"
