Now the big question is will Mitch Moreland be ready for Opening day? No official report yet from the Texas Rangers on his condition, but even a mild strain could set him back. The Rangers will the the chance Friday to add players to the 15-day disabled list, if he is added, he’ll miss at least 4 games.
The injury could be mild, but fellow teammate Alex Rios had a similar injury during spring training. That mild strain caused him to miss a week of workouts and playing time. I do expect Moreland to be out again today. That will give him at least 2 days rest, since tomorrow is an off day.
