SURPRISE, Ariz. – Yes, the Texas Rangers are still playing the Oakland Athletics today at Surprise Stadium. I’m sure many of you are down-and-out about what seems like an epidemic of injuries plaguing the Texas Rangers, but rest assured there will be Texas Rangers baseball today.  And to prove it here are today’s pitching matchup and lineups.

LHP Ryan Feierabend (0-0, 10.00) vs. RHP Sean Murphy (First ‘A’ Game Outing)

Today’s game starts at 3:05 p.m. CST on TXA-21 and MLB.tv.

2B Jurickson Profar has a torn muscle in right shoulder that does not require surgery, but will sideline him 10-12 weeks.

OF Engel Beltre has a fracture in right tibia and will start the season on the disabled list, which means the Texas Rangers do not have to make a decision on him right now.

C Geovany Soto left Sunday’s game after having what appeared to be a leg cramp.  After receiving an MRI Soto will undergo surgery on Wednesday to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee and will be out 10-12 weeks.

RHP Yu Darvish was scratched from Friday’s Minor League game due to neck stiffness.  He is playing catch today and the Rangers are still unsure of an Opening Day start for Darvish.

Tuesday March 25 @ Cleveland Indians LHP Robbie Ross (0-0, 1.88) vs. RHP Josh Tomlin (1-0, 2.57)

Wednesday March 26 vs. Seattle Mariners RHP Colby Lewis (0-0, 18.00) vs. Erasmo Ramirez (3-0, 0.96)
