Arlington, Texas – Despite what was a disappointing start to the season for the Texas Rangers, fans still flocked to Globe Life Park for the season opener and enjoyed the game.  Here are a few shots of some fans and some pictures from the game.

Fan Photos- Thank you to everyone that sent in your photos.  Even though the Texas Rangers lost, it was till a fun packed day.  We’ll have to do this again!

Fan Photos from Opening Day

First Base gate – Fans entering through the first base gate.

Right field foul pole- Nice picture of the right field foul pole, I was hoping to see Prince Fielder squeeze a few over the fence yesterday

View from right field- Stadium wasn’t full yet, but I bet they were ready to see Fielder bat.

It was windy- It was a very windy day outside and inside the park.  I’m sure it was very difficult holding down the flag, but everyone did an outstanding job with the pre-game ceremonies.  Attending Opening day to see them is well worth it.  The Texas Rangers always put on one of the best ceremonies in baseball.

Note: A large United States flag was unfurled in centerfield by Soldiers from the Dallas Army Recruiting Battalion and Airmen, Soldiers, and Marines from the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth. A large State of Texas flag was unfurled on Greene’s Hill by members of the Dallas Army Recruiting Battalion. The colors were presented by Company B of the Texas Rangers Law Enforcement from Garland, Texas.

The Fly Over-  The flyover of vintage warbirds from the Cavanaugh flight Museum in Addison.

Game 1 of 162 is over, the Rangers lost, but not all is lost.  Plenty more baseball to play, keep excited!  Go Rangers!
