Rangers Lose Eighth Straight

Once again the Rangers had a lead and then lost it in the late innings to eventually lose their eighth straight game last night. The game was rain delayed by three hours, so it did not end until after one am last night. Tim Bogar is now 0-2 as the Rangers interim manager.

When you look at the amount of players that are missing on this club, it is almost shocking. Yu Darvish, Shin-Soo Choo, Alex Rios, Mitch Moreland, Alexi Ogando, Tanner Scheppers, Jurickson Profar, Matt Harrison, Kevin Kouzmanoff, Engle Beltre, Jake Smolisnski, the list goes on and on. The Rangers have an outfield of Ryan Rua, Michael Choice and Leonys Martin. Gone are the days of Josh Hamilton, Nelson Cruz and David Murphy.

It would be tough to win with the lineup that the Rangers are throwing out there for any manager, but it must be especially hard for a guy in Bogar who has never managed in the majors before. Then again, he has managed in the minor leagues and this is practically a minor league team he has. I still hold to the thought that the Rangers are putting forth effort, I don’t think that the players that are on the field every night are giving up. I just think they are out manned each and every night.

The Rangers try to avoid their ninth straight loss today with Derek Holland on the hill, and they will be competing against the NFL today so it will be tough to get fans to come out for the most part. I will be watching the Rangers. I still love them, and I probably always will, it is why I blog about them. Thanks for reading and Go Rangers!
