Rangers Rally, Win Fifth Straight
The Texas Rangers are having a pretty good September so far, and that is saying something after the May through August that they had. They have now won 5 straight including two against the A’s in Oakland. Derek Holland had yet another quality start.
“Those guys did a great job of picking me up,” Holland said according to texasrangers.com. “It was very awesome to watch. We have had a tough season to begin with, but the way we’re finishing up strong, I’m very impressed with the way guys are carrying themselves. Nobody is quitting.”
J.P. Arencibia had the big blow with his three run shot in the ninth, and inning the Ranger scored six times in.
“When I got down 0-2, I thought, ‘Let’s go, you got to get this run in,'” Arencibia said. “This is an opportunity against a tough pitcher, we worked our way into this chance.”
The Rangers still have the worst record in all of baseball, but they do not look like the same team that they were just one month ago. They always had the effort, but now the results are starting to come through. The Rangers take on the A’s again tonight and I hope it is another fun game to watch! Let’s Go Rangers!
