Texas Rangers Injury Report
Is anybody else tired of hearing about all the Texas Rangers injuries? I know I am, but hey if they are going to happen I’m happy to get them out of the way before the season begins.
More from Texas Rangers News

- Did Jacob deGrom really mean what he said at his Texas Rangers press conference?

- Is a six-man rotation in the Texas Rangers’ near future?
OF Shin-Soo Choo had an MRI on Sunday that showed “slight inflammation” in his left triceps. Choo has played in a few minor league games and is in Thursday’s lineup against the Colorado Rockies at DH.
RHP Shawn Tolleson was scratched from Sunday’s game due to soreness in his throwing forearm and will undergo an MRI today. Although the results are not expected to come back until Thursday this doesn’t sound like the Texas Rangers will get good news. Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports:
Regardless of what the MRI determines, it further delays Tolleson’s return to the mound and with only 11 days to go until opening day rosters must be set…”
Not good news for the Rangers. But, it might increase the chances for right-handed pitcher Keone Kela to break camp with Texas.
OF Antoan Richardson will head to Dallas to undergo back surgery to repair herniated disc (L4, L5) on Friday and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks. Richardson entered camp as a non-roster invitee but was recently added to the Texas Rangers 40-man roster and looked liked the best choice for Leonys Martin‘s backup.
I’m remaining cautiously optimistic that this latest outbreak of injuries won’t become contagious.
NEVER. EVER. QUIT.
