Andrus had what was arguably his best week of the season. For the season he is still just hitting .244/.302/.327 but this week he could be showing us what he has in store for the rest of the season. While fans are still discussing whether the Rangers should be trading Andrus, he continues to work hard to try to get back to the Andrus we knew just a few short years ago.

This past week, Andrus hit .316/.381/.474 with six hits in 19 ABs. Three of his hits went for doubles and he drove in two runs while scoring three of his own. His week was highlighted by a two-game performance against the Athletics in which he went 5-for-9. He continues to find success when he hits lower in the order, as he hits .294/400/.588 when batting fifth and .292/.321/.354 when batting sixth. In his 31 games in which he hit second, he hit just .200/.279/.248.

Also considered for this spot: Relief Pitcher Anthony Bass, who threw five shutout innings across two games, striking out seven and walking just one.
