Scorching Hot at the Right Time

The Rangers are arguably the hottest team right now in baseball, going 10-5 so far in the month of September. This Rangers ball club is currently riding a four game win streak, three of which come against the second place Houston Astros. The Rangers have gone 8-5 against the AL West this September as well, and they show no signs of slowing down.

In the last seven days these Rangers have amassed 44 runs, second to only the Blue Jays in the AL. The Rangers also cranked out 12 HRs in that span, a mark that is tied for second in the MLB. They are second in the AL in total bases over that span, and 4th in the AL in OPS.

But as we have noted, this isn’t your typical one trick pony Texas Rangers. These Rangers also rank 6th in the AL for ERA in the month of September, holding opponents to an impressive 3.82 earned run average.

The Rangers are winners of their past four games, five of their last six, and have the ability to sweep the Astros tonight. If the Rangers can keep it rolling headed into the postseason, that can only help their cause once they get there.
