Top 10 Rangers moments of 2015: No. 6-5
The Rangers were one of the best road teams in all of baseball in 2015, so it is no surprise that they would have a couple noteworthy road sweeps. Here are two of their best from this past season.
6. at Yankees, May 22-24
A three game sweep at Yankee Stadium is always going to be near the top. In game one, the Rangers pulled out a nail biter 10-9 as Colby Lewis picked up the win and Ross Ohlendorf picked up the save. In game two the Rangers teed off on C.C. Sabathia as they scored 15 runs, winning 15-4. In game three Yovani Gallardo picked up his fourth win of the season in the 5-2 victory and Shawn Tolleson picked up his third save in the 5-2 win.
5. at Astros, May 4-6

Coming into the series 8-16, this was a crucial series early in the season. We all know Houston was a tough team to beat at home (they finished 53-28 there, tied for third best in all of baseball). But the Rangers, despite dropping two of three in their opening series against their in-state rivals, swept the Astros in their building. The first game was a 2-1 win, followed by two much more convincing wins—7-1 and 11-3. In the first game, Robinson Chirinos hit a sac fly to tie the game in the eighth and then the winning run came across in the ninth, after Houston had scored in the first. In the second game, it was much different. Texas scored four in the top of the first en route to seven runs, led by a three hit effort from Kyle Blanks.Wandy Rodriguez pitched a very good game against his old team to pick up the win, against longtime Ranger pitcher Scott Feldman. Game three was just icing on the cake. The Rangers jumped out to an 11-0 lead before the Astros brought three across at the end. Colby Lewis was brilliant in his eight innings in this one as the Rangers completed the sweep.
Come back tomorrow for the next two moments.
