The 2017 season has been a roller coaster for the Texas Rangers. Fans have seen plenty of ups and downs, but let’s focus on the positive. This team has some players that have taken huge steps forward in 2017.
Obviously the season isn’t over just yet, but the Texas Rangers have some players deserving of recognition. Sadly, this season has not gone as planned, but that hasn’t stop these players from putting on a show.
This list includes players that are having unexpected breakout seasons. While players like Elvis Andrus and Adrian Beltre are the catalysts in the offense. It is expected that those veterans play at that level because they have been for many years.
It’s time for a win in Texas after watching the miserable seasons from Rougned Odor and Jonathan Lucroy. Going into 2017 many expected Odor and Lucroy to be big bats in the middle of the order.
Many of the expectations for Texas were wrong, but the season isn’t over just yet. There is still time for a miracle. Even if the Rangers don’t make the postseason at least we got to see these three players kick-start their MLB careers.
