Nomar Mazara

Entering 4th season: 1.3 WAR, .258 BA, .320 OBP, 60 HR, 242 RBI, Free Agent in 2022.

Nomar Mazara is a very confusing player. Every season since his rookie year, people have pegged him as one the “breakout” guys. Everyone can see his massive potential, but it is just a matter of him reaching it. If Mazara hits his potential, he could be a guy that hits .310 with 30-35 HR’s on a regular basis. However, watching him play, it just seems like he hasn’t really changed since entering the major leagues. At least we know he can hit exactly 20 home runs every season.

Contract Verdict: WAIT

If Mazara finally takes a step towards his potential this season, the Rangers should hop aboard his train and sign him long-term. If not, it may be best to trade him to a team that is sold on his massive potential.
