With the highly anticipated release of Avengers: Endgame this weekend, let’s have some fun and find out which Avenger some of the Texas Rangers would be.

Avengers: Endgame has officially taken over the universe. Millions are wasting no time flocking to theaters to see what their favorite heroes are up to this time. Don’t worry, we’re not here to play spoiler. Rather, we’re here to cover the Texas Rangers. What we can do, however, is blend the two topics to create a fun article.

So, let’s compare your heroes on-screen to your heroes on the baseball field. Which Texas Rangers best represent which Avengers?

Elvis Andrus

Elvis Andrus has to be Captain America. He has become the captain of the Rangers since Adrian Beltre left, and he’s the longest tenured Ranger. You could also argue that Captain America is the most versatile Avenger with his speed, strength and precision. Andrus is the most well-rounded of Texas players. His game fields few weaknesses.

Joey Gallo

You have seen Joey Gallo hit a ball, right? Of course you have! His bat might as well be Thor’s hammer — that’s how powerful he is. In fact, we should start calling Gallo’s bat Mjolnir, named after Thor’s hammer. And, as Thor has the power to command electricity, Gallo has been electric at the plate this season.

Rougned Odor

Rougned Odor may be one of the smallest guys on the field, but like Ant-Man, he can pack quite a punch! Just ask Jose Bautista!

Chris Woodward

This was a tough one. Since Iron Man is really the man in charge of the Avengers, I had to select the man who is in charge of the Texas Rangers. Woodward has the power to act independently, just as Iron Man often does.

Mike Minor

The ace of the Rangers rotation is the obvious choice to be Hawkeye. It has been fun watching him throw the ball, like watching Hawkeye shoot his arrows. Minor has been hitting his targets more frequently than every other Texas pitcher thus far.

Nomar Mazara

Mazara has a cannon. Given his insane throwing power, one could come to the conclusion that he and the Winter Solder have the same arm. Mazara does frequent a sleeve over his left arm, so maybe it is mechanically engineered.

Asdrubal Cabrera

Cabrera would be War Machine. He has been around for a long time, and he comes out every day ready to battle. He also has the advanced knowledge of a war hero.

Delino Deshields

Deshields can absolutely fly when he is on the field, making him so much fun to watch. His speed and quickness likens his Marvel counterpart, Black Panther. It would be nice however if DeShields could get a hold of some Vibranium to help his power numbers.

Jon Daniels

The man responsible for assembling the Texas Rangers, just like Nick Fury did with the Avengers , is Jon Daniels. Also like Fury, Daniels faces controversy for the decisions he makes, even if they’re for the greater good.
