So What Should They Do?

My mentality towards trading guys like Hernandez who have multiple years left of team control and have been performing well is to listen to offers but not to force anything. If I were the Rangers, I would let it be known that moving Hernandez is a possibility but giving him away is not going to happen. Make someone overwhelm you with an offer and if that offer comes in, hold onto a valuable young player that you can potentially build around moving forward.
