Rewarded: Adolis Garcia

No Texas Rangers player has rewarded the team more than Adolis Garcia in 2021

If you want to talk about the ultimate case of a team’s faith in a player, one doesn’t have to look much further than the case of Adolis “El Bombi” Garcia.

The 28-year-old center-fielder has been absolutely sensational for the Rangers in 2021, and when you consider that the organization DFA’d him in February only to bring him back on a minors deal with an invite to spring training, it only makes his rise more remarkable.

Across 195 at-bats in 2021, El Bombi has smacked 16 homers along with an .863 OPS and respectable .314 OBP. Not to mention, he tears the cover off the baseball at one of the highest hard-hit percentages in baseball since his debut en route to rookie honors for May.

Did we also mention his highlight-reel defense in center field?

Adolis Garcia has really been the true package deal for the Texas Rangers in 2021, and seemingly out of nowhere. It’s a good thing the team decided to give him a chance!
