Yu Darvish is currently a starting pitcher for the San Diego Padres.  After six years of pitching professionally in Japan, Darvish was posted and subsequently signed by the Texas Rangers.  Darvish just finished his 9th year in MLB.

Darvish has compiled a 79-67 record during his MLB career.  In 1,293.1 innings, Darvish has a 3.56 ERA and 1,591 SO.

Darvish makes my Top 10 Greatest Rangers Pitchers because he is 7th all-time in ERA, 4th in SO, and 3rd in BA Against.

Darvish was also a 4-time (5-time overall) All-Star when he was a member of the Texas Rangers.  In 2013, when he was in the Texas rotation, Darvish led MLB with 277 SO.

During his MLB career, according to baseball-reference.com, Darvish earned $123M prior to the 2021 season and he had $62M still owing before he can become a free agent after the 2023 season.
