In 1969, while Bonds was a member of the San Francisco Giants, Bonds became the first player in MLB history to hit 30+ HR and steal 30+ bases in the same season.  He would go on to exceed the feat on four more occasions including 1978 when he was a member of the Rangers.

For his career, Bonds played 14 years in MLB, including his final year (1981) when he was a member of the Chicago Cubs

Bonds played 1,849 games, hit 332 HR, 1,024 RBI, and swiped 461 bases.

Bonds was a three-time All-Star (1971, 1973, 1975), a three-time Gold Glove Award winner (1971, 1973, 1974), and in 2008 was enshrined into the San Francisco Giants Wall of Fame.

In August 2003, Bonds passed away at the age of 57 after complications from lung cancer and a brain tumor.
