2020 Texas Rangers Bench
Shin-Soo Choo split his time between the OF and DH for Texas in 2020. It was in his 7th and final season with the Rangers. In 33 games, Choo hit for a .236 AVG, with five HR, 15 RBI’s, and six SB. Choo moved back to Korea to play in 2021. Choo is a current member of the SSG Landers of the KBO.
Todd Frazier split his 2020 season between 1B and 3B with Texas. In 31 games, Frazier hit for a .241 AVG, with two HR, seven RBI’s, and one SB. Frazier was traded back to the New York Mets before the rosters expanded in September. Frazier played 13 games with Pittsburgh in 2021. Frazier is currently a free agent.
Jose Trevino split catching duties with Jeff Mathis during the 2020 season. Trevino was in his 3rd season in Texas. In 24 games, Trevino hit for a .250 AVG, with two HR and nine RBI’s. Trevino is entering his 5th season with the Rangers in 2022.
Anderson Tejeda was a rookie utility infielder in 2020. In 23 games, Tejeda hit for a .253 AVG, with three HR, eight RBI’s, and four SB. Tejeda played five games for Texas in 2021 and was granted free agency in November. In 2022, Tejeda will be a member of the St. Louis Cardinals organization.
Derek Dietrich was a utility player for Texas in 2020. In 25 games, Dietrich hit for a .197 AVG, with five HR, eight RBI’s, and one SB. Dietrich played AAA in the New York Yankees and Washington organizations in 2021. Dietrich is currently a free agent.
