Relief Pitcher

As you saw last season, the Texas Rangers struggled massively with their bullpen and they don’t want that to repeat this season. A name to keep in mind, while the Rangers are looking to improve their roster, is Trevor Rosenthal.

If the Rangers are able to bring him to Texas, that would help their bullpen situation greatly. Rosenthal can help Texas by having some stability and take pressure off from their starting pitchers. We have seen over the course of the past couple of seasons, that, starting pitchers for Texas have faced pressure to go deep every single game and try to find a way to give the ball to Jonathan Hernandez and Jose Leclerc. Having an established relief pitcher, who is known to give them some innings and keep the runs down, will help the Rangers tremendously. Whether it be Rosenthal or somebody else, the Rangers can’t avoid their bullpen woes to begin this season, though Joe Barlow being there now helps.

The Texas Rangers still have big holes to fill in regards to their roster and hopefully they can fill them before the season begins. We’ll see what they do in the coming days, but they are off to a strong start nonetheless in their rebuilding process.
