Rangers fans will want to forget the 2025 season ever happened. The wasted pitching and underperforming offense has lead to some incredibly disappointing lows all season.

The 2 seasons following the World Series Championship show a franchise unwilling to get out of its own way and accept change is necessary. An intriguing trade deadline saw a weak farm system get even weaker just to fail in the end.

There have been lows but have also been some highs. Every Jacob deGrom start, Nathan Eovaldi's dominance, and Jacob Latz shocking season have made waves with fans. There are some ways to create unforgettable moments this year.

3 ways the Rangers can salvage some embarrassment in final week of 2025

Jacob deGrom getting a big win in his 30th and final start

deGrom has put together one of, if not the best pitching season in franchise history. Some historic performances out of Garrett Crochet and Tarik Skubal will keep him from winning the Cy Young but that doesn't mean the season is lost on the fans.

Wednesyda's matchup against the Minnesota Twins is slated to be deGrom's final start of the season. With a rowdy home environment for the night game, there is potential to end his season in a big way.

The playoffs are out of the question but franchise history means something to the fans. He will cross 170 innings for the first time since 2019 and has put it all on the line this season for the Rangers. Getting him his 13th win, his third-most in his dominant career, would get a loud ovation on a night that would otherwise be forgettable.

Adolis Garcia having a big final week

The hero of 2023 that is beloved by every fan for what he did that year is likely in the twilight of his career in Arlington. The franchise hero who is a lock for the Rangers Hall of Fame could go out in a fun way to end 2025.

His performance in 2025 has lead to groans from the fans and front office that lead to questions of him even finishing the season with the team. A late season injury also brought his 2025 status in question.

The hero of 2023 deserves a good home sendoff if this is it for him in Texas. We would not have gotten to the top without him and he should be sent off in appropriate fashion to end 2025.

Playing spoiler to potential contenders

The 2025 playoff race is on fire in the American League. The AL Central race is the equivalent to the sun with the Cleveland Guardians hosting the Rangers for the final series of the year.

The range of outcomes for the Guardians are missing the playoffs to being the second seed in the playoffs. If the Rangers want to disrupt the playoffs while not making them, there is serious potential to do so.

If the Rangers want to get swept while the Tigers turn it on too, there is a real chance the Houston Astros can miss the playoffs too. The playoffs could be determined on a wild final series with the Rangers holding multiple teams fates in their hands.
