Schedule of 2024 All-Star break festivities locked in by MLB and Texas Rangers

When it was revealed that the 2024 All-Star Game would be held at Globe Life Field, home of the defending World Series champion Texas Rangers, fans were understandably excited. The vibes around the Rangers themselves were already great and the announcement brought with it the opportunity to show off the city of Arlington and everything Globe Life has to offer.

What we had been previously light on were the details and schedule of the 2024 All-Star Game festivities -- at least, until last week ,when both the Rangers and MLB announced that the schedule of events had been decided upon for the All-Star break in Arlington. The jam-packed slate included many of fans' favorite events making a return

2024 All-Star Game Schedule: Events, Date, Time

As mentioned, the main event will be held at Globe Life Field on Tuesday, July 16th. Before the actual game, but still during the All-Star break, the HBCU Swingman Classic will occur on Friday, July 12th, with a youth tournament called the All-Star Commissioner's Cup beginning that Friday as well and running through the 15th, alongside the Jennie Finch Classic.

The Futures Game, a favorite amongst prospect hounds, will take place on Saturday, July 13th, followed by the Celebrity Softball game, which is always a hilarious example of how not to play softball. The opening night of the 2024 MLB Draft, a relatively new addition to the All-Star festivities, will go down on Sunday, July 14th, followed by the ever anticipated Home Run Derby, which comes that Monday night.

It is a jam-packed schedule loaded with must-watch events for fans of every type, from the diehards that want to see the best up and coming prospects and to dig into the draft, to the more casual fans that just want to see MLB's biggest stars hit a ton of dingers and play in the actual All-Star Game.
