Texas Rangers 2024 Spring Training schedule announced
With the release of all thirty MLB teams Spring Training schedules, what does the Rangers slate look like?
Major League Baseball has released the 2024 Spring Training schedules, Texas Rangers included. Spring is a time of new beginnings as the excitement of a clean slate lay before each organization.
The Rangers will get their 2024 Spring Training games kicked off, in Surprise, AZ on Friday, February 23rd against their facility partner, the Kansas City Royals. It is standard practice for the Rangers to start and end the Spring off, against the Royals since they both call the complex at Surprise Stadium home. In fact, the first two games of the spring will be against Kansas City. In the opening day game, the Rangers will be the home team, with the Royals taking the honor on the following day.
The schedule will include a total of 30 games across 30 days. There will be two off days coming on Wednesday, March 13th and Thursday, March 21. Two split squad game days will be on Saturday, March 16th and Friday, March 22nd.
After finishing up in Arizona on Saturday, March 23rd, the Rangers will head to Arlington. But before the regular season can get under way on Thursday, March 28 against the Chicago Cubs, the Rangers will host the Boston Red Sox for two exhibition games at Globe Life Field. Those contests will be on Monday and Tuesday, March 25th and 26th.
With the mix of veterans and young talent coming up within the organization, a trip out to Arizona to take in some of the Texas Rangers spring training games would be a great way to spend some time. With all of the Cactus League teams being so close in proximity, it makes it easy to watch a game in Surprise one day and the next day jump over to even Tempe or Scottsdale, much less Goodyear, Peoria, or Glendale. The greater Phoenix area is truly a MLB hub from the middle of February until nearly the end of March. Check out the Texas Rangers Spring Training schedule below.
