All four of the Rangers minor league teams will have a new manager this season. Only two of those managers are worth mentioning. Carlos Cardoza was named the new manager for the Frisco RoughRiders this season after Jared Goedert stepped down to pursue another opportunity outside of baseball. Goedert led the Roughriders to the 2022 Texas League Championship title. Cardoza will have some big shoes to fill as they defend the Texas League title this season.

Doug Davis takes over the helm in Round Rock after spending the previous two seasons with the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. He brings 25+ years of experience with him to the Texas Rangers organization. He takes over for Matt Hagen who left the Rangers organization over the summer. Like Goedert, he also left to pursue an opportunity outside of baseball.

It's going to be a fun year of Texas Rangers baseball for the organization. RoughRiders fans down in Frisco can't wait to see their team defend their title this year. Fans up in Round Rock can't wait to watch Texas Rangers prospects who are so close to making the team up in Arlington. Let's hope all the minor league teams have good seasons this year and that Rangers prospects remain healthy.
