Down two runs in the bottom of the ninth, the Texas Rangers needed to summon some magic to win Game One of the World Series. Fortunately, Corey Seager's two-run blast to tie the game and Adolis Garcia's walk-off homer in the 11th is exactly what the doctor ordered and the Rangers came back to win Game One and take a 1-0 series lead.

After winning such a crazy game, Texas has the momentum heading into tonight's Game Two matchup and they have to be thrilled that Jordan Montgomery is going to be taking the mound for them given how good he has been this postseason. Over on the Diamondbacks' side, they have their own stud starting as Merrill Kelly was announced as their Game Two starter.

2023 World Series Game Two: How to watch the Texas Rangers today (October 28)

For Game Two, we may have the best head-to-head pitching matchup in the entire series as both Montgomery and Kelly have been very, very good during the playoffs. Jordan is 3-0 with a 2.16 ERA this postseason with 17 strikeouts while Kelly is right behind him with a 2.65 ERA and 19 Ks of his own. Texas certainly has the edge on paper especially the way their offense is playing, but Kelly is not likely to make things easy.

The Rangers can't afford to take their foot off the gas against this Diamondbacks team as they were fortunate to steal Game One. Arizona is clearly not afraid of the big stage and has made a habit of defying expectations throughout this postseason run of theirs. However, Texas has shown to have a flair for the dramatic as well during the playoffs. They just have to do it three more times to finally bring home a World Series title.
