World Series Game 1: Starting Lineups for the Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks
As we near first pitch both teams have announced their starting lineups for tonight's game 1.
The excitment continues to build for game one around Arlington and the entire state of Texas, save for maybe Houston. Final preparations are underway. Rosters were announced this morning. Texas chose to make no changes from their ALCS roster. Now, manager Bruce Bochy has submitted his lineup for tonight's game.
Right-hander Zac Gallen is on the mound for Arizona and so Bochy is going with the right-handed lineup that gave them the most success in game 7. Carter stays hitting third, Garver and Heim are stationed behind Garcia. Josh Jung and Leody Taveras are the eight and nine hitters. Lot of length and power from one to nine in this order.
Arizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Luvullo has also submitted his starting lineup for game one to take on Nathan Eovaldi.
A lot of balance in this lineup with speed and power. As mentioned in one our preview piece detailing what Texas must do to win, Texas has to limit Corbin Carroll at the top of the order. They can't sleep on someone like Alek Thomas who had a massive home run in the NLCS to turn that series around. This will be the lineup that will take on Texas Rangers starter Nathan Eovaldi.
Game time tonight is at 7:03pm and this game and all other World Series games will be broadcast on Fox.
