World Series Game 2: Starting Lineups for the Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks
Texas goes for the commanding 2-0 lead in the series tonight and this is the lineup they will be trying to win with.
The World Series resumes tonight with game two. Texas is trying to build on the exhilirating game one win. Arizona is aiming for the split and to steal home field advantage away from Texas. Texas will send Jordan Montgomery to the mound in game two while Arizona will go with Merrill Kelly. Both pitchers have had outstanding postseasons to this point. Kelly this postseason is 2-1 with a 2.65 era and has 19 strikeouts in 17 innings pitched. He last pitched in game six of the NLCS against the Phillies. Montgomery this postseason is 3-0 with a 2.16 era and has 17 strikeouts in 25 innings pitched. He last pitched in game seven of the ALCS where he came out of the bullpen.
Manager Bruce Bochy is rolling with the same starting lineup from game one against the right-hander Merrill Kelly.
Arizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Luvullo has made a change to his starting lineup.
He flipped Marte and Carroll in the order going up against a left-hander. No other changes than that though.
Texas will be trying to continue the momentum from game one while Arizona is trying to get back into this series.
Game time for game two is at 7:03pm from Globe Life Field and it will be broadcast on Fox.
