Wyatt Langford is already setting records for the Texas Rangers and it's pretty clear this won't be the last time his named is etched in the franchise record books by the time he's done.
The versatile, five-tool rising star has a trajectory set for the stratosphere with his aggressive style of play. Blessed with the kind of speed you can't teach, and power to all fields in his bat, the sky is the limit for a potential future MVP of this league.
Wyatt Langford keeps demonstrating he's among the Rangers' elite
Langford is putting his elite offensive prowess on display in another statistical area that includes some of the best Rangers in history.
He is just the fourth player to have at least 10 home runs and 10 steals in his first 45 games of a season. He joins big-name Rangers players Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez, Jose Canseco and Ian Kinsler as the only players in franchise history to acheive this feat this quickly into a season.
If Langford can reach the benchmark it will certainly be a feather in his cap as he hopes to be the recipient of a massive, multi-year deal sometime in the future.
Langford is poised to jointhi insanely exclusive club in 2025
With 10 home runs and 10 stolen bases at approximately the one-third mark of the season, Langford is on pace to join an elite club of Texas Rangers who have hit 30 homers and swipe 30 bags in the same season--commonly referred to as the "30/30 Club"
Langford would become just the third player to achieve that lofty milestone as a Ranger, including the dynamic Alfonso Soriano in 2005, and fan-favorite Ian Kinsler who achieved the feat twice in 2009 and 2011.
It is also worth noting that Langford missed 10 games earlier this season with a right oblique strain. If he can remain healthy the rest of the way, his chances of making this exclusive 30/30 club seem well within reach.
