Rangers' fans have no reason to worry about team's lack of offense to start 2025

It's normal to see fans overreacting to struggles early in the season but being five games over .500 is not a time to complain.

I think at times fans can get too invested in their favorite ball club. On one hand that's good because it gives players an additional reason to stay motivated but other times fans can go overboard and ruin it for others.

This is one of those times when fans might be taking their input and putting it out there into a world without a thought or care. The Texas Rangers enter Sunday's series finale against Tampa Bay 7-2 on the season yet fans have found a way to be critics.

Sure the offense hasn't been as advertised to start the year, hitting .190 as a team in the first nine games. But once again the team is five games over .500 and hold the best record in the American League thus far. Why are we focusing on the bad?

Baseball is a hard game to play, especially when playing at the major league level. Players aren't going to find success every at-bat, as a matter of a fact, if a player fails 7 out of 10 times, he's considered among the best hitters.

Yet, after four first-inning runs by Texas on Saturday, the Rangers didn't record a hit until the seventh inning. This caused fans to lose their minds online saying, "just putrid, impatient terrible ABs from these hitters."

I am not going to act like everything has been perfect but there are teams that have only won one or two games this season. I think it would do a big service to our mental health if we just took the wins and embraced the moments.

For those worried about Corey Seager's lack of offense this season, don't be. It's Corey Seager. You really want to stress out that a two-time World Series MVP hasn't found his groove yet only nine games into the season?

What about wanting to bench Joc Pederson? Or calling for Kevin Pillar to play the field for Adolis Garcia because a hard-hit liner bounced off his glove in the first inning for a double that ended up being a non-factor? Not worth the energy.

I wish we could just sit back, relax, watch some baseball and embrace that this team is finding ways to win ballgames, despite their struggles. We have 153 games left this season, there is plenty of time to freak out. Enjoy it right now.
