Mirror, mirror on the wall, who the heck is this Milwaukee Brewers young stud who has clearly been studying Texas Rangers' ace Jacob deGrom?

The lanky six-foot-seven right-handed hurler is just getting his career started, but his mound stylings are eerily similar to deGrom.

Jacob Misiorowski looks like a replicant of a young Jacob deGrom

It is scary how much the 23-year-old rookie from Blue Springs, Montana, looks like deGrom. Not only in his height and build, but in his almost identical stretch delivery to home plate.

From the chest-high leg lift to the long stride towards the plate, and then a late release before falling away towards first base, it is almost identical.

And, yes, the velocity is there, too. Misiorowski, like deGrom, is routinely hitting 97-99 miles per hour
on the radar gun, and occasionally topping out at 100-102 with his fastball. In just three starts in his young career, he is pinpointing his location just like the two-time Cy Young Award winner.

He recently outdueled reigning National League Rookie of the Year Paul Skenes in a turbo-charged matchup.

Misiorowski is getting deGrom-like results early in his career

Since being called up to the big show by the Brew Crew, Misiorowski has pitched 16 innings and struck out 19 batters. He has only given up three hits and is sporting a tidy 1.13 ERA and a ridiculous .065 WHIP.

He has also collected wins in all three of his starts this season. Now, clearly this is a small sample size, and the film on the deGrom clone is making its way around the league as we speak, but the physical resemblance is truly uncanny.

The rookie flamethrower will have to make adjustments as the league catches up with him, but the raw talent, and the results are there so far.

Meanwhile, deGrom is making a case for a third Cy Young halfway through the season, sporting an 8-2 record with a 2.08 ERA and a .088 WHIP. His sample size is more than five times that of Misiorowski, having registered 95.1 innings pitched after making a full recovery from a second Tommy John surgery.
