Following his Hall of Fame career, mostly across the past 25 years, Adrian Beltre still continues to gain praise from legendary baseball writers after being named to The Athletic's All Quarter-Century Team.

Beltre was able to garner many accolades and highlights since the turn of the century that filled up his trophy case with Silver Sluggers and Gold Gloves, there is no doubt that he earned every single recognition, including a spot on this team.

Who else made The Athletic's All-Quarter Century MLB team?

The longtime baseball writer Jayson Stark with The Athletic, outlined his team that featured Beltre at third base, alongside names such as Barry Bonds, Derek Jeter, Jose Altuve, Mike Trout and much more.

His other runner-ups at third base included Chipper Jones, Scott Rolen, and another fellow former Ranger in Alex Rodriguez. Stark also decided to leave Miguel Cabrera and Chipper Jones off the list, which as you can imagine left a lot of fans upset, making for a majority of the comments on the story about the controverial choice for the hot corner.

The omission of Rodriguez got the most vocal push back but Stark blatantly noted his PED suspensions as the reason to why it knocked Rodriguez out of contention on his team.

As for Chipper Jones, one can argue that his best seasons are not even in the timeframe necessary of this team, having the prime of his career in the 1990s. Then Cabrera, who is hoping to be a Hall of Famer by 2029, the arugment is that his spot on the team would have been either as a first base or DH, despite his time spent at third base.

Beltre, despite earning a spot on this team, is still somehow underrated by a vast majority of baseball fans. The first ballot Hall-of-Famer and member of the 3,000 hit club, hit 477 home run man with multiple gold gloves seems to always play second fiddle to Rodriguez when it comes to all-time great talks.

There shouldn't be pushback on this absolute legend of the game being on the list. This goes to show how much talent was in the MLB at the time and how lucky Rangers' fans fans were to watch a player of Beltre's caliber every night.

It is rewarding as a Rangers fan to see a respected journalist in Stark acknowledge Beltre on his list. The obvious pick in Levi Weaver's All-Quarter Century Team on the Texas Rangers was Beltre along with some other surprising picks.

The electricity of his play in the field, to the explosiveness of his bat, to his playfulness with Elvis Andrus on the field, there is not many better representations of Rangers baseball.
