The Texas Rangers have finalized their 2026 international free agent class with 20 new additions on the day the international signing period opened.
The group of 20 is highlighted by 17-year-old Dominican Republic infielder Elian Rosario, who signed a $2.5 million deal and was ranked among the top 10 prospects in his class. The other big signing among the group was right-hander Frandel Pineda.
Part of the other 20 players included nine infielders, four outfielders, three catchers and four pitchers. Texas entered with just over $6 million to spend and made the most of their pool money.

Rosario is a six-foot-two, 195 pound outfielder, ranked as the 10th overall international prospect of 2026 and is seen as a "physical presence in the batter's box, one who routinely rips off triple-digit exit velocities and showcases pop to all fields," according to MLB Pipeline.

Pineda, the nephew of former big leaguer Michael Pineda, boasts a 92-94 mph fastball, a wipeout slider and is developing a changeup. He's still physically growing and has upside to increase velocity to his four-seam and be a quick riser through the minor league system.
