The Texas Rangers marketing team has worked their magic and might have implemented one of the best ticket promotions in recent history.

On Monday, the Rangers announced their Golden Chicket promotion, a ticket deal that can potentially lead to fans getting a game or games worth of free tickets.

According to the Rangers, the rules are pretty simple. Purchase your Golden Chicket ticket for the Monday, April 28 game against the Athletics in the mezzanine sections of 122 and 123. If the Rangers win, fans will earn a free ticket in the same mezzanine level to the next home game.

When does it end? Great question. As long as Texas keeps winning, fans will continue to get a free mezzanine ticket to the next home games.

With those rules in place, if Texas were able to sweep the Athletics the weekend of April 28 to May 1, fans who purchased with the ticket deal they could get free tickets to Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and even Friday's series opener against Seattle. If they were somehow able to continue winning, fans could realistically see six games for the price of one that week alone.

The Rangers have a lot of fun ticket specials this season ranging from student ticket deals, special discounts for Metroplex ISD employees, military discounts, Sunday. buffets and Tuesday Family Deal. However, the Golden Chicket is the combination of high-risk, high-reward that some fans might just love.

Some could say this is a desperate attempt to get fans into the ballpark for Monday evening game against the A's but it's just smart marketing. They could win and get more seats in the ballpark for Tuesday's game or they have increased ticket sales for the Monday game.

I will warn you, the deal will cost you right now as the cheapest theme ticket available for April 28 game is $99 plus tax.
