Texas Rangers' shortstop Corey Seager, outfielder Wyatt Langford on track to have “normal offseasons"

Texas Rangers general manager Ross Fenstermaker said that shortstop Corey Seager (appendectomy) and outfielder Wyatt Langford (oblique) are on track to have "normal offseasons," according to The Dallas Morning News' Shawn McFarland. The Rangers shut Seager and Langford down with a week left in the regular season.

Outfielder Evan Carter expected to be ready for Spring Training

Carter suffered a fractured right wrist on August 21 due to being hit by Kansas City Royals pitcher Daniel Lynch's fastball. In October, Fenstermaker said Carter's wrist is “close to 100%” healed, meaning he will be ready for Spring Training barring any more setbacks.

Right-handed starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi expected to be ready for Spring Training after undergoing sports hernia surgery

ESPN reported in October that Eovaldi, 35, underwent surgery in Phoenix for a sports hernia and is expected to be ready for the start of the 2026 season. Texas shut him down in late August with a rotator cuff strain. Fenstermkaer said in October that he should be cleared for a normal throwing program this offseason.

Eovaldi, 35, was dominant last season before being shut down, posting a 1.73 ERA with 129 strikeouts and 21 walks across 130 innings.

Left-handed starting pitcher Cody Bradford expected to be full participant in Spring Training

Fenstermaker expects Bradford (elbow) to be a full participant in Spring Training after the southpaw was sidelined the entire 2025 campaign. His exact timeline has yet to be determined.

Bradford, who underwent an internal brace procedure on June 25, posted a 3.54 ERA with 70 strikeouts and 13 walks across 76 1/3 innings in 2024. He had a 5.30 ERA in 56 innings during his rookie season (2023), and allowed just one earned run on four hits and no walks with five strikeouts during the 2023 postseason.

Righty reliever Cole Winn expected to be ready for Spring Training

Texas shut Winn down for the last week of the season due to a right rotator cuff strain. He was among the Rangers' best relievers last season, posting a 1.73 ERA with 35 strikeouts and 17 walks in 41 2/3 innings. He is expected to be ready for the start of the 2026 season.
