Adolis Garcia is a consensus favorite to get traded from the Texas Rangers by the July 31 trade deadline.

While this makes a lot of sense, he's a low-cost under control option that provides a ton of pop when he's on, he's been playing one heck of an outfield and his arm is among the best in the league. But with all that comes a lot of weakness and struggle which might steer some teams away.

A contending team still might take a chance on him because of his past performance in the postseason, which is a hot commodity. But would Texas even get a valuable trade proposal and if they do, what would it look like?

El Bombi could be leaving Texas this summer, what will the Rangers return be?

A few weeks ago ESPN mentioned him as one of their top 50 trade candidates and put an 80% chance of trade. Listed among the contenders that would be the best fit was Cleveland, San Diego Philadelphia, Seattle and San Francisco. In return, Texas could find a way to get their farm system back on the right track.

Knowing Garcia's tendencies, strengths and weaknesses the Padres' home stadium, Petco Park is among the most friendly of confines to hitters. Among the middle of the pack, Petco has 103 long balls and a ballpark factor of 93 dating back to the 2023 season.

The Padres could also use a designated hitter currently rolling with a Trenton Brooks and Gavin Sheets most of the time and on occasion Luis Arraez and Jake Cronenworth. That in mind, some Padres' faithful believe right-handed pitcher Jhony Brito or catcher Brandon Valenzuela in return to Texas.

Now, while ESPN says it might be a fit in Seattle, I don't envision Texas sending him to a division rival but T-Mobile Park is known to be an insanely pitcher friendly park which make outfield defense much more important.

It would be intriguing to see Garcia as a Giant or Guardian. He could fit in nicely into either of those lineups as their right fielder. Cleveland was also ranked as the ninth-best farm system heading into the 2025 season, with four players in MLB's Top 100 list.

If the Rangers are eyeing a pitcher, left-hander Josh Hartle is having a good season in High-A with a 3.36 ERA, 72 strikeouts, and a 5-2 record in 16 starts. On the offensive side, Texas might decide to grab infielder Welbyn Francisca or utilityman Juan Brito who are both in Cleveland's top 10 with plenty of room for improvement.
