Texas Rangers Take a Series!

It’s pouring rain where I live right now, but it feels like it is a beautiful rain. The sun, when it does shine, will be that much brighter. The Texas Rangers won a series in July. And it was against the Yankees. Colby Lewis pitched lights out (probably because no one bunted on him). Of course it didn’t hurt that it was the last time that Derek Jeter will play in Arlington.

"“Warming up, I looked around at the packed house, it reminded me of 2010,” Lewis said according to texasrangers.com, “It was nice to see all the fans. It was good for baseball. It was a good all-around night.”"

The Texas Rangers honored Jeter by beating his team, and to me that is the best way to honor him in Texas. All the Yankees fans left disappointed. Another thing I took away from last nights win and this weeks series victory is that Neftali Feliz is looking a lot better than I expected. Who thought he was going to nail down his first three saves of the season after how badly he looked earlier in the year. He dominated last night, almost like he did against the Yankees in the 2010 ALCS.

I am seeing improvement all around this team. Rougned Odor is looking better and better, Adrian Beltre is still very Adrian Beltre like, J.P. Arencibia is WALKING (as well as knocking in 7 in a game), and the pitching staff if looking better overall.

I am not trying to say they can climb back into the race this season, but what I am saying is I am starting t get excited about 2015. As this team gets healthy, it looks better. As the young players get experience, they get better. I think I am officially beginning to be get hyped for the 2015 Texas Rangers baseball season!
