When Adrian Beltre signed with the Texas Rangers on January 5th, 2011, fans were excited. He’s done great in this organization. He has no plans on leaving anytime soon. By now, there’s no doubt that Beltre is one of the greatest players in the club’s history.

Since becoming a Ranger in 2011, Beltre has helped take the team to the World Series, appeared in four All-Stars, won two Platinum Glove awards, three Golden Gloves, and two Slugger awards. In 2013, he led the American League in hits. A very impressive run in a Texas Rangers uniform.

One of his biggest accomplishments in a Rangers uniform is becoming the all-time hit leader among natives of the Dominican Republic. In 2012, he became the second player in history to have three-home run game and a cycle in the same week. The list of accomplishments Beltre has achieved in Texas is amazing. It’s not only his ability to play that is impressive, it’s also his ability to teach and mentor young players. His leadership is very unique.

Last April, Beltre agreed to a two-year extension. In the last few seasons, Beltre has been very impressive despite his age. At 37 years of age, he’s still playing at an elite level and he’s staying healthy. He’s entering this season just 58 hits shy of reaching the 3,000-hit milestone. No doubt, this season, he’ll achieve this accomplishment. It would be a great addition to his career resume.

This season, Beltre has a chance to pass Rafael Palmeiro and Ichiro Suzuki for all-time hits. He’s currently 34th in all-time hits. He’s already accomplished so much and he’s certainly capable of accomplishing more within the next two years.

By now, there’s no doubt in anybody’s mind that Beltre is a legend in the Texas Rangers organization. Regrettably, Beltre’s resume does not include a World Series victory.

At this point, reaching and winning the World Series is the biggest career milestone for Beltre.
