Texas Rangers: Sam Dyson Helps USA Bring Home WBC Title

Sam Dyson played a big role in Team USA’s victory against Puerto Rico in this year’s World Baseball Classic final. Dyson helped Team USA win to bring home the USA’s first WBC Title. Dyson and Jonathan Lucroy played a role in Americans’ victory. No doubt, the Texas Rangers organization are proud of these two.
The Texas Rangers can’t wait for Lucroy and Dyson to return to the team in Arizona. Opening Day is 11 days away and the Rangers are eager for Dyson and Lucroy to complete their Spring. In any case, they’re both likely to return to the team either today or tomorrow. Regardless, they’ll need to be ready to close out Spring Training.
Dyson entered the game in the seventh inning, relieving starter Marcus Stroman. He pitched a full inning, allowing no hits, surrendering no runs, and striking out two batters. Furthermore, he prevented Puerto Rico from attempting a comeback.

In Team USA’s win against Japan, Dyson appeared for one full inning, allowing no hits, surrendering no runs, and striking out no batters. Additionally, he would go one to earn the win. In this tournament, he appeared in five games, pitching six innings, allowing no hits, surrendering no runs, and striking out four batters. It’s amazing how he performed so well against teams heavily favored over the Americans. Dyson went out and showed no fear and did great. For the most part, one of the best moments in his career.
Now that the WBC is over, it’s time for Dyson to shift his focus on the Rangers 2017 season. Furthermore, if he can carry this momentum into the 2017 season, he may be on the verge of being one of this season’s top relief pitchers. In any case, he needs to be ready.
