Sometimes all it takes is a change of scenery to find your game and get back on track.
For former Rangers Gold Glove first-baseman Nathaniel Lowe, getting out of a Washington Nationals uniform in D.C. and heading up to Boston and the historic confines of Fenway Park was the jolt he needed to turn his season around.
Nathaniel Lowe has been electric in his first week with the Red Sox
When Nathaniel Lowe arrived in Boston after being DFA'd by the Nationals, he was hitting just .216 and had the lowest batting average of all qualified positional players.
In one week with the Red Sox, he has found his swing and contributed to his new team's taking three of four against their AL East arch rival Yankees and surpassing them in the wild-card standings.
He has raised his average to .224 by going 7-for-16 with a homer and seven RBIs and scored four runs in just six games.

The Red Sox are counting on Lowe's playoff experience with the Rangers to make a run this year
The hot streak couldn't have come at a better time for both Lowe and the Boston Red Sox. They are in a knock-down, drag-out race with the Yankees and Seattle Mariners for a wild-card spot in the 2025 postseason.
One of the reasons Red Sox President of Baseball Operations Craig Breslow went out and signed Lowe was for his invaluable experience going deep into the playoffs like he did with the Rangers in 2023.
With Texas in 2023, Lowe was nails playing a plus first base and hitting three big home runs on the way to helping seal the organization's first and only World Series championship.
The Sox and Breslow were counting on Lowe progressing to his mean, and he is rewarding them right off the bat by being the teams hottest hitter over the last week, and more importantly, in their most crucial four-game series of the year thus far.
