How to watch Texas Rangers Opening Day against the Phillies

Following a 31-game spring training schedule the Texas Rangers are ready to kick off the 2026 regular season and will do so on the road for just the second time in six years as they head to the Easy Coast for a matchup with a top NL East team.

This season they take on lefty Cristopher Sanchez and the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park with a familiar face their former World Series hero Adolis Garcia. Texas kicks off their season with first pitch scheduled for 3:05 p.m. CT.

Texas, who finished 81-81 in 2025, will look to get back into the postseason after missing out on October baseball for the second straight year. With Brandon Nimmo leading off for the lineup and Nathan Eovaldi getting the starting nod, fans are optimistic that these changes will be positive.

The first game of the year kicks off the second year of Rangers Sports Network and partnership with streaming service Victory+. Last season, RSN boosted viewership 37 percent across households in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex as the organization hopes to build off that success.

Thursday's game will also be available on MLB.tv for fans outside the initial coverage areas of Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and the eastern most counties of New Mexico. On the television broadcast, fans will see some familiar with Dave Raymond returning for his 10th season as the team's play-by-play, Mike Bacsik and David Murphy providing color commentary and Laura Stickells entering her second season as the main field reporter.

The radio side remains the same as well with Hall of Fame broadcaster Eric Nadel teaming up with Matt Hicks and Jared Sandler. The Spanish broadcast features Eleno Ornelas in his 25th season calling Rangers' games and Jose Guzman in year 16 with the club.
