Pitchers and catchers report next Wednesday, and the Texas Rangers will be donning a new spring training hat for 2024. Earlier this week MLB officially released the hats that each club will be wearing this spring. Some of the looks are identical or at least very similar to the teams every day in season lids. However, some have some new crisp, clean looks and different color combinations. The Rangers are one of the teams with a newly colored cap this spring.

Baby blue is a color that has been in baseball for decades. The baby blue home Sunday jerseys are some of the fan's favorites. This spring the Rangers will be wearing a solid baby blue cap with their current "T" logo. On the side of the cap there is the 2024 Cactus League logo. Fitted versions will obviously have the MLB logo on the back of the hat. Below is a display of all 30 MLB spring training caps.

I obviously don't know how many of these caps New Era made, but the Rangers site is already sold out of nearly all sizes and styles of the spring training hat. Hopefully there will be some available for fans that make the journey out west to Surprise, AZ to cheer on their championship club. Perhaps there will even be a few more printed up and loaded on the MLB shopping platform. Unfortunately, this is no guarantee as these items have a limited shelf life with the regular season getting underway on March 28th.

The champs merchandise has been flying off the shelves of north Texas and from the organizations online store since the team secured their first ever World Series title last season. That is exciting as more and more fans will be out there repping the Rangers. I'm not sure if the baby blue spring training hat will look the best on the field, but it should look fantastic in the stands and around town.

While the teams batting practice caps haven't been officially released quite yet, there has been some leaks of what they will look like, and they are pretty slick as well. My suggestion is if you get online and see some Rangers' gear that you want, don't wait as you might miss out.
