The Texas Rangers return to Arlington with a 2-0 lead in the ALCS over their rival, the Houston Astros. Even with the large advantage heading into Game 3, the Rangers know that there is plenty of work still to be done. The Astros are the defending World Series champions and aren't going to relinquish their title without a fight.

Fortunately for the Rangers, their roster is chalked full of players that won't back down from anyone. They will turn to their bulldog, Max Scherzer to start Game 3. Because of injury, this will be the first time that he has pitched in a MLB game since September 12th in Toronto. It is unclear as to how long Scherzer will be able to go in the game and he plans on playing it by ear. He will be in constant communication with both manager Bruce Bochy and pitching coach Mike Maddux as to how he is feeling.

The fans at Globe Life Field are sure to be hopping, as this will be just the second home game for the Rangers this postseason.

ALCS 2023: How to watch the Texas Rangers today (October 18)?

Like in Game 1 of the ALCS, this will be the only baseball game today. The NLCS has an off day today, so all baseball eyes will be on the Lone Star State. Tonight's game will be broadcast on FS1 with the first pitch by Scherzer to be thrown at 7:03 CT. Historically, road teams that have been able to take the first two games of a seven-game series have fared extremely well. But as mentioned previously, Bochy and the boys won't be counting their money while they are still at the table. Two more wins and they will have the opportunity to celebrate a series victory and move on to the World Series. But until then, business as usual.
