The draft pool numbers for 2025 have been released. Along with the 12th pick in the draft, the Ranges have been given the 16th-most pool money at $10,991,300.

If you're wondering how the overall number is given and how the Rangers have the 16th-ranked draft pool despite not having the 16th pick, there is a reason why.

The rounds that have a pick given an allotted number to spend are rounds 1-10 that gives you the overall number a team is allowed to spend. Teams with compensation picks are given more money than teams without one in order to be able to sign their entire draft class.

This is the entire draft budget that is available to be given to players selected by the Rangers this year and they cannot go over that number, but they can stay under.

Each pick has an allotted number that determines the overall draft pool number. The 12th pick comes along with a $5,746,800 amount that you can spend both more and less than.

You can go above or below any allotted amount as you please in order to optimally sign the most amount of players. The draft pool increases year by year and did so in 2025.

This will all lead to Chris Young selecting 20 prospects that he believes are the best for our future. Now that we know how much we can spend, we can start getting ideas on who is a possibility.

Based on the previous Chris Young drafts, that number can be expected to be reached. Now we can begin fantasizing who will be in Arlington come July 13th.
